CHURCH MEETINGSunday, January 15, 2012 The church meeting was great! We looked at our finances from the last year, asked for prayer on different options for the church and had a chance to see how prayerfully the Growth Groups will begin to impact our community. We meet every quarter to update the church of New Life on changes being made or simply to gather together and share the excitement of things taking place here.
GROWTH GROUP QUESTIONSWeek # 4Text: Jonah 1: 1-3 Part 2Questions:1. We know that Jonah fled from obeying God. How did the following people do in obeying God's voice? Briefly recount or re-read the stories of ...Adam and Abraham. Was Jonah that first case of the happening to God. What does this tell you about the people God uses? Why does God use people like this?2. How can Jonah still be considered a "godly" man when he blatantly disobeys God? Is the Christian life on constant being godly one moment then ungodly the next then back to being godly again?3. Read the following verses. Psalm 36:5, Psalm 57:10, Psalm 86:5, Psalm 100:5, Psalm 103:8. What do they say about the character of God?4. Read Matthew 5:7. What characteristic is SUPPOSED to be part of the believer's life? Can we call ourselves "followers of Jesus" is we do not imitate Him in showing mercy to those who have let us down?5. How would you have handled Jonah's response if you were in God's position? Has God placed a "Jonah" in your life? How are you treating them? How are you representing God to them? Remember, Jonah was not an un-believer but a fellow believer.6. Jonah was a prophet of God, he knew God and had a relationship with him. Why then do you think he fled from God? Was he unjust for his reason? 7. What does Jonah's action show us about thinking we always know the mind of God? 8. How does Jonah's action show us the difficulty of knowing God's word and applying God's word? 7.

We have several homes that host small group studies and discussions. Everyone is invited to join one of these groups or even come visit and see what they're all about. Not only are these groups a great way to dive deeper into Sunday morning studies but also a new and exciting way to make closer connections with fellow believers in Christ and experience sweet fellowship outside of the church building. If you would like more information on these groups to prayerfully become involved, connect with us through our contact page and we will be glad to help you connect. To listen to the current study

Pastor Will Tarin is the youth pastor here at New Life. Our high school group is a lively group of teenagers with a burning desire to learn more of the word of God. We like to have events about every month to give the kids a chance to be themselves and have lots of fun fellowshipping with other Christians. The youth group meets on Friday nights at New Life at 6:00 pm for Bible study and fellowship. (There is no study the first Friday of every month.)All teens are welcome from 8th grade to 12th grade.

Sometimes we have questions that tie into the studies and no one to answer them. In these groups you can bring all the questions you have and one way or another you will get an answer. There is such great fellowship within these groups as well. We have several locations to suit your needs.
